General Appointments Fees
In most cases, our GPs are happy to provide you with a repeat script or referral without a consultation for a $15 fee. However, they will request to see you in person for a consultation for any new scripts, new referrals or if it has been more than 3 months since they have seen you. This is important in ensuring they are providing you with the best possible medical care.
This can depend on the type of results you are waiting for. Generally, routine blood tests will be available to your GP within 2-3 days. Once your GP receives these results, there may be a 1-2 day delay in checking them due to doctors’ schedules.
There are a few different options for how you will receive your results. Your doctor may discuss this with you at the time of your appointment. Generally, you will receive a call from your doctor or nurse if there is need for follow-up. Please note that results cannot be given over the phone by reception.
When you register as a new patient you now have the opportunity to provide informed consent for us to email you results, reports, discharge summaries etc. If you have not done this, we can provide you with a consent form to sign prior to us emailing any documents to you. All emailing of medical documents will need to be approved by a GP before reception can send to you.
Yes, we place great importance on preventative health at Montrose Medical Practice. Yes, we are happy to offer travel vaccinations. Please let reception know when booking that this is the reason for your visit and we can ensure we have stock of the necessary vaccines. A travel consultation will be conducted with one of our GPs and our nurse can assist with administering these vaccinations.
Whilst every effort is made to minimise wait times, emergencies may upset the schedule. Our reception team will always endeavour to keep you informed of any unexpected wait times.
